AARP – A nonprofit, non-partisan membership organization for people age 50 and over. They are dedicated to enhancing quality of life for all as we age. They lead positive social change and deliver value to members through information, advocacy and service.

Adult Protective Services – Each county has an APS agency to help elder adults (65 years and older) and dependent adults (18-64 who are disabled),when these elders and dependent adults are unable to meet their own needs, or are victims of abuse, neglect or exploitation. County APS agencies investigate reports of abuse of elders and dependent adults.

Alzheimer’s Association – The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research. Their mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

Council On Aging – NCOA’s many programs help to improve the lives of older adults. Use these resources to help stay independent.

Family Caregiver Alliance – FCA is a public voice for caregivers. Their pioneering programs, education, research, and advocacy – support and sustain the important work nationwide caring for loved ones with chronic, disabling health conditions.

Hicap – Provides up to date reports and information about healthcare, how it is changing and effecting older adults. Medicare facts, educational workshops, updated, fraud prevention and many other topics are covered at this site.

National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc. (NAELA) – The NAELA membership is comprised of attorneys in the private and public sectors who deal with legal issues affecting the elderly and disabled.

National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (NAPGCM) – Professional Geriatric Care Managers (PGCMs) are health and human services specialists who help families care for older relatives, while encouraging as much independence as possible.

National Family Caregivers Association - The National Family Caregivers Association educates, supports, empowers and speaks up for the more than 50 million Americans who care for loved ones with a chronic illness or disability or the frailties of old age.

National Parkinson Foundation – Provides a vast array of educational programs and produces literature and medical information distributed free of charge to Parkinson patients, their families, neurologists and general medical practitioners worldwide.
