We are family owned and operated focusing our attention on quality of care. Our services are available throughout Santa Clara, San Mateo, Contra Costa & Santa Cruz Counties.

Q: Who needs in-home care?
Individuals who need assistance with their activities of daily living would benefit from In-home care.

Q: How much does the service cost and what does it include?
Costs for services are based on an individual Needs Assessment and level of care.

We offer three levels of care:

  • Level I - Personal Attendants are trained to provide assistance with mobility, companionship, reading of mail, meal preparation, light house cleaning, linen changes, laundry, ironing, pet care, transportation with escort and physical exercises.
  • Level II - Personal Attendants are trained to provide all of Level I services and are qualified to assist with bathing, grooming, personal hygiene, incontinence care. They can help you get dressed and remind you to take medications.
  • Level III - Personal Attendants are trained to provide all of the services listed in Levels I and II and are qualified to help you transfer from bed to wheel chair or to the car and can assist with other special equipment you may have in your home. Additional specialized training includes: Hospice, Dementia, and Parkinson’s.

Q: Are your services covered by my health insurance or Medicare/Medical?
Medicare and Medical do not cover non-medical home care services. Many long term health insurance polices do include coverage of services. Please check with your individual insurance company for explanation of benefits. We can bill your long term care insurance company and follow up to make sure you are reimbursed.

Q: How does in-home care cost compare to assisted-living or nursing homes?
Our in-home care costs are based on an hourly rate for all services and determined on your Needs Assessment. In comparison, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Homes typically have you pay one flat rate for your board and additional fees for services.

Q: Do you provide care in facilities also?
Yes, care is available in Assisted Living Communities, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and in hospitals.

Q: How long does it take to get a Personal Attendant?
Generally, we can fill a position within 4 hours.

Q: What if my Personal Attendant is sick or goes on vacation?
We have trained Personal Attendants that are available to relieve when needed and are able to fill in for your Personal Attendant.

Q: Can I meet the Personal Attendant in advance?
Yes. We want you to feel comfortable with the choice you make for yourself or your loved one. Our dedicated staff will help you find the Personal Attendant that is right for you. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, our staff will make it a priority to find one that fits your needs.

Q: Why should I use your service instead of someone in the newspaper?
Our Personal Attendants are our employees -That means they are screened, bonded, and insured. As their employer, we pay all the payroll taxes and worker’s compensation. You don’t have to worry about the quality of the Personal Attendant or about the liability of having someone in your home – we take that responsibility.

We would be more than happy to discuss our Personal Attendants with you as well as the services they provide. We carefully screen and check references on all our prospective Personal Attendants and conduct a thorough personal background check, including the applicant’s driving record via the DMV. Potential Personal Attendants are also subjected to standardized testing to ensure basic comprehension of providing care, TB screening and an initial 5-hr orientation with ongoing monthly in service trainings.
