Whether you are a driver or not, we are doing an updated Vehicle Safety Inspection.

Vehicle Inspection - is needed when you have time, please come to the office, and bring your car. In 2024, we will inspect your car to make sure it is drivable and in great condition in case you are a driver to our clients or if you work 2 clients in one day, you get paid mileage.

Mon to Fri 8:30 am to 5 pm Please come in or call to schedule your vehicle inspection.

NOTE:If you do not drive disregard this message.

Reporting Falls/Injuries

Please make sure you inform the office as soon as possible if you or your client gets injured or has a fall. Safety is our top priority, and we want to make sure we take the necessary precautions to ensure you and your client have a safe working environment.

Vacation/Time Off

Requests for time off must be submitted to the office for the Staffing Coordinators to find proper coverage for your client. We would appreciate time off requests to be submitted in writing at least 2 weeks prior to your vacation if possible.

Clocking In/Clocking Out

Make sure you are clocking in and out for EVERY client. When clocking out on Telephony, please stay on the line to enter the codes for your tasks. When clocking in and out on the Kantime app, you must click on each task and enter “Done” or “Declined”. If you decline, that means the client either does not need this task or refused the task for that shift. Once you enter the daily task, they will turn green. You can save and update it to Complete.

Registry Renewal

When it is time to renew your Home Care Aide Registry, there are three options for how you can renew. The first option is to mail the $35 to the state. The problem with this method is that it can take up to three months for your renewal to come back. The second and more effective method is to login online to the Guardian Website and update your application. Before your registry expires, you will receive a reminder call from Familiar Surroundings Home Care. Maria or Sarah in Human Resources. The third and most effective option is to come into the office and have Maria or Sarah help you. If you do come into the office, we will pay the $35 for you. We are more than happy to help you renew in the office when the time comes. If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call. (408) 979-9990
